    In Robert Bloet appointed Henry as archdeacon of Huntingdon. Henry gained a reputation as a writer and in about Alexander, Archbishop of Lincoln, suggested that he should write A History of England. Henry of Huntingdon (c. – c. ), the son of a canon in the diocese of Lincoln, was a 12th-century English historian, the author of a history of England, the Historia Anglorum, "the most important Anglo-Norman historian to emerge from the secular clergy".
